ACTIVITY 5A

One: similarly, I will find some pictures of people suffering with Drown syndrome; also find a few normal people’s photos to analysis and comparison from the photographs. Make myself to learn the information found in the pictures as much as possible. So that they can help me in life at the first time read the identification of such groups of people (I think these are very important for me). Of course, I hope in my future design also allows the public more easily and quickly identify them. By this way I can let everyone know what kind of land can be the attitude and approach to care for them and sympathize with them.

Two: finish this work, I would like to bring something that they have learned and understand place. There are a number of my ideas in this area to as much as possible to find people to discuss the matter. Listen to and discuss these matters. They do not know what are Drown syndrome (at least I do not know it before I do this essay) circumstances, put photos to show them. Interviewed about their feelings and to record that they were the clothing and expression. Then tell them this is what got the crowd and got sick of people what the disease sympathy. I think that all persons will be very much sympathy for them, after all, the disease cannot be cured and it is one of the lifelong painful diseases. It is our hearts wide-ranging ideas will be generated and we are discussed and our questions or answers. After some discussion, I think I will forgive a rough target to know how kind they should be designed to do.

For a story with photos of this step, I think for me this program is not necessary. Because in the one step I have found the information they want to be. Here I need to find some of their stories and grow diaries and so on. So that in there own good to know what they really need.

Three: at here, I need to find some sites to watching. First of all, I would like to find some forgive pass through the store, pharmacy and the like places to watching. In these places where I need to observe the environment and facilities and analyze why to do this and what is the purpose. Looking care of these places so special and how do people use them. And from here, it is also to its diameter line and staff to observe and pay attention to their conversation. Forth: further investigation and study. Preferably in advance of interviews with some staff to prepare a number of related issues. Listen about their life, some of the happy, unhappy things and what is their want.

I think after the four-step access to shelter, investigation and research. Yes, I believe I can cover up there have been a new awareness and understanding. Designed my own advertising and facilities can be more close to the requirements of these populations.

ACTIVITY 5B

For this essay I need to choose one of my studio brief and make a plan for my graphic third year.I choose the visual thinking-experiment & experiential for shipping forecast. I am very like this project and happy made it. But there were also have many problems in my design.

Following this project required us to design anything just fit for the area. We can do any form for it like the graphic photos, film, model and so on. Just by us. I did a model and the model’s poster for this project. 3D and 2-dimensional, I like three-dimensional design. 3D can make me feel more really. So I choose do a model for the 2C project. But I am not very happy with the result. Sometimes reality and imagination there ware so many different places. On the other side I didn’t do the project a full understanding and preparation was also one of my big mistake.

At here, I want to say some things in my further design if I do the project like that one. Following this semester Jonathan’s first 4 seminars teach us the 4 ways to design: (maybe some ways is not suit for my design but I will think them at the first.)

1.The consumption of design

-Read the books (the culture of design-chapter 4) to find the ways

-Find and select source material (from different discipline who you do not know well)

-Analysis ---taste, influences, possessions and environment

-Note, making and discussion.

2. Experiment

-Read essay “The Rhetoric of the Image” and discuss it with group members

-Select three random images

-From a selection of people from different backgrounds to collect stories.

-Select or create a fourth image to see if you can make people read just one “story” or meaning.

-Use text to create a single reading of the images.

3. Design safari

-Choose one of the activities and observe how people behave, the “rules” and rituals

-Reflect on and discuss your experience

4. Interview

-Choose a topic and contact a small number of interview subjects.

-Conduct a survey of people to find out about their attitudes to your area of design

-Discuss the results with others and write your own notes of your findings.

Obviously, from all the ways for the tutor teach us is the teamwork. This is also telling us teamwork is a very importance way in our further work.

After read the tip point I begin to notice small thing that is can change the whole phase. Here the consumption of design way is like the tip point. First I will to find some shipping forecast pictures. Choose some form that I like it than watching them carefully. Find some interesting places. Thinking why them have this and for what. I will take some notes about the questions. For these questions I will not to go to internet or books to find the answers, I will own one the they should consider these issues and these issues will make their own detailed conjecture and imagination to make a variety of the situations. The best case is that these answers and I guess almost. Such initial plan is a good even complete. Following by large number search information to find a correct answer. For the correct answer and their answer were compared. Take my ideas and correct answers to complement each other. In this step of study, I would have a lot of ideas about this work. I need to carry out all my ideas and record. In my opinion this is a step forward in term of design.

At this time thought the strength of the team. I think I need to do that which the hands of the information to others (of course, there is not necessarily a design-related personnel, from children to the elderly are acceptable. The more different people can give different perspectives more answers) explore together. For example, I want that these hands have been aware of the information and their own ideas and different people to share. I always have different doubts and problems need help, perhaps they are not the best nor the answer is correct, but I am able to solve many problems at the same time I can get a better idea to design my work. At the same time the majority of them to give me the answer is also an objective, multi-perspective. This is something very important point.

Then the same I need to find some especial photos where I will design. The best is not to find many photos, a few photos as long as it can prove to be the region’s photograph on it. The same way as that find some people and to show them the pictures. Before I show them the photos I need one my own idea’s photo (Photoshop or sketch is all ok just make sure people can understand what you draw). I do not need to tell them any information about the photos. Let them tell me a story or an idea about the photographs after them read the pictures. I always can get some fantastic story. After this I should show them the last picture and let them link them tell me the story make the end of the story. Concluded that they have given me the story.

The last, if there is a chance I can go to the area where I will design place to understand the local customs and cultural backgrounds. Conditions are not allowed, and then there are many solutions to solve it. I can find some of those areas where I am a live characteristic of restaurants, shops and so on. At the same time also pay attention to those areas of people’s words and the deeds and habits. Looking for opportunities and people in those areas to talk more to understand them.

After all of this I think I will get a very good idea about my design.

assignment 4

For this seminar we need to interview someone with the questions. I choose the ‘what object do people treasure the most? Why?’

Before I go to ask the question to people. I have already thought some questions but ‘treasure’ is a big question. So I forgot my questions. I decide form different to ask the different questions. Then from my question I decide to ask some older. I believe every older have a lot of fantastic stories in their life and the ‘treasure’ most of time influence their decide.

I have interview 5persons.

First one:

Last Saturday when I went to the Dundee museum and saw a around 30 years men dresses in dark casual clothes sit the chair read the book at the museum door. There was a big windy that everyone want to go to room. Just he read the book on the street. So I want to interview him. I ask him the question. He answer it is the hobby. He very enjoys his hobby. He loves his life. He loves his life, so he loves life in every different thing. He is a worker engaged in the arts. As long as art and what he likes, whether it is modern, classic, man-made or natural that he likes. In comparison, however, he is more of like modern art. In particular he like the modern clothes. Modern clothing pattern design is his favorite. The colorful hand-painted patterns that he was like, in his own spare time on his own to the creation of an often some interesting patterns. He was very kind of life to enjoy. So he also used this approach to life to educate his son. Hope that his son would also be a time to enjoy life people.

This visit his attitude is very friendly.

The second and the third:

I want to get some different answers so last Sunday morning I went to the church opposite the Crawford building. Here is the 10 o'clock every Sunday Drive line Sunday. The fourth and fifth:

The fourth I decide to ask the Chinese. I ask a boy who is a primary school teacher 26 years old. He tells me his parents and wife is the treasure. (I think 90% Chinese men will be given the answer). The other Chinese boy tells me the same answer. Parents raising us and gave us a chance in life. Their selfless love for us so that we grow up healthily. This is all my interviewing. From this interviewing I found the local people are very friend and to share their thinking and feeling. But the Chinese think the treasure is a very privacy is not very willing to do so, and I say that their stories. The hearts of many is that they hurt, so I do not want others to reveal their scars. Is usually the time to chat with friends will go to avoid this topic. Of course, I interview this is not very smooth.

Assignment 3

For the activity3 we had to choose one of the activities at the handbook. I have 3 chooses (Bingo Hall, Shopping center and Public library) to watch people going about their business, observing how they behave. Try to find the ‘rules’.

In the final a few classmates and I choose the Bingo Hall to watch people. I think maybe Bingo have a little especial at the city center. Bingo is a higher modern building in the city center. I see there is many old people stand at the Bingo door when I go through there. So I just think there is the elderly in places like the center. Ex: bar…

We have chosen to go to Bingo at Wednesday night. Before I get there I have many problems in my brain. When I entered Bingo, I have some tension and also have a little surprise. I didn’t think there’s such a gorgeous decoration.

I didn’t how to buy the ticket. My classmate tells me I should apple for the membership card. I stay there for a long time to apple the membership card. But the waiters were very nice. And they gave me a member handbook, a membership card and a strong pen (I don’t know how to use it). Then I pay 80p to buy the early ticket.

First of all to go through a smaller game rooms before they can reach the place we want to reach. Where we have to play the game, and game rooms are two kinds of different styles. Here large can accommodate a lot of people. But the tables are very small.

Our students have found these people we can accommodate a table. When I was coming in the game has already begun. I have some unknown error. Students to see the game with that pen point on the figures, I only know how to book and pen use. Laugh.

When the game started looking at the door on the figure. My brain just gets larger. When compared with the high school generation is even more difficult. Feel completely stupid out… Hehe… But later, my classmates told me that rules of the game. I soon found the game interesting at. But limited to my English listening, there are some difficult.

Here are some of my summaries:

*Here the decoration is very retro flowery, feminine side a little more.
